I'm not sure if Cotto has the power to stop Williams but I do think he has the ability to outbox him and win the fight. I just don't think Williams has the pop to beat Cotto. It would be an insanely tough fight though, I believe.

Pwill, likely on points. Too busy for Cotto to handle.

          I'd take Williams by KO.

Williams applies just as much pressure as Margarito. He's also bigger than Margarito and looks to hit just as hard (if not harder) as Margarito.

Cotto would start out fast, but he'd get overwhelmed again.

Cotto by stoppage... He needs to fight in close though, if he stays away then Paul Williams will win it probably by ud or late stoppage.

cotto outboxes and times williams all damn night! williams foot work is sloppy, his punches are sloppy and cotto would win a wide UD ala quintana williams.

Cotto is too short to win this....Paul would win a UD or possibly stop Cotto late if some of yall is usin' the first Quintana fight as an Paul flaw tape...fall back! The dude in the ring that night was rockin' a mohawk and didn't seem interested in fightin' that cat named Quintana....but throw a Cotto or Margarito in there he'll be focused and we'll watch them get PUNISHED....Real Talk!

Paul Williams has a very difficult time making weight at 147, he should fight right where he is now....at 154. At 6'2'', and trying to make Welter, The Punisher will most definately "OVER-TRAIN", and be highly weight drained, he can't keep fighting at that weight. Team Cotto saw the same thing with Cotto at 140, and is now campaigning at 147. Team Williams will be doing the same soon enough, not just for Verno Phillips.

So what that Cotto beat Quintana, and Quintana won the first fight with Williams. Carlos Quintana is good, though I believe it was more of Williams being weight drained, over trained, and couldn't compete. Even though Williams has a huge work rate, there is not much behind those flickering jabs to really keep Cotto off him like Margarito did. Simply put...Williams can't really hurt Cotto. (like the Tiajuana Tornado did).
