So because they're not interested in a rematch according to Diaz, they don't enforce their WBO mandatory position to force Williams to either vacate the belt or go to a purse bid? If they had forced their mandatory spot on Williams we would've seen if Williams would vacate but since they didn't, Diaz's comment don't really have much clout now does it? Rhetorical question.

how can you force a mandatory when Varcarcel himself said he, Williams, will be allowed an optional per the request of Dan Goossen? answer that one for me.

There was a link from 11/11/2007 that even has Margarito stating that his preference would be to fight as the mandatory to Williams or did you ignore that? yet Williams doesn't make mention of Margarito until June of this year.

He did not want to get stripped so fought his mandatory(williams). He lost the fight. Him and his team IMMEDIATELYwanted the re-match. And yes Williams did lost to Quintana, and I'm sure Margarito was glad so he didn't have to worry about him. But Williams got his belt back via 1st round ko......you know forcing Quintana into a rematch and avenging his loss right away, unstead of running and looking for new opponents.
