Honestly, the last time i only found out about it after it had happened. The NFL have clearly pumped some money into promoting it over here, as it got alot of hype in 2007, and it had a highlights show on the BBC. I don't think it will ever be a success in terms of TV figures, but they will do well in terms of attendance as long as they play in London due to the amount of Americans that live there.Comment

I guess Brits watching football is the same thing when i watch soccer or rugby i just find it boring and predictable. if the NFL found a way to teach football to the youth of people in europe maybe it would succeed though.Comment

Fixed.NFL will never take off over here as its a very very expencive sport.
It's not like you can buy a £5 ball and use some jumpers for goal posts.
Seriously though I think my second hand pads cost me upwards of £100 back in 91 so no doubt you are looking as a serious investment if you are going to play more than a park throw about, where as football can be played for £20 a year so long as you're not buying silly boots.
For alot of Inner city kids £20 isjust about all parents can afford, thats probably why Basketball is more popular than American Football with poor kids in the states.Comment
