He is Overrated by a few people.. But mostly he is underrated.. a few people seem to rate him just right..

I was a Margarito hater for awhile, and I simply based my opinion of him in his fight against Lujan and Santos I believe. And since there's no real great fighters around and if you take a look at boxing today, alot of these "champs" would be mere contenders in other eras.

But no, Margarito is my kinda fighter, man. Ain't nuthin' pretty with what Margarita does, but win or lose, he's the type of guy to go out on his shield, and that's all I can ask for from any fighter.

Him and PAC must be related or somethin' , they live with the Bruce Lee creed of "He hits me, I'll break his fingers, he breaks my fingers, I'll gouge his eyes out" they're so brutal in the way they put a beatdown on their opponents.

No, Margarita is not overrated for this era. But, i'd really wanna see his @ss move up a division. I mean, c'mon most of the guys he has fought are like 5'7 tops. And the people that have given him problems are guys his size.

on the whole he's not overrated... i mean he just beat one of the best pound for pound boxers in the world and fastest rising stars in sport so he should be on the top of the world (until the rematch that is)

Yes, because Cotto was massively overrated before he lost to Margarito, and now he's inherited whatever hype Cotto had.

Margarito is very good at what he does, but he will lose against anyone with good defense and lateral movement, and against anyone who manages to out outwork him (aka Williams).
