i count it as the same for the most part unless i specify technical boxing skills.

hard to discount it as part of skills imo.

look at roy and ali. their speed was their defense.

without their speed and movement , their defense was mediocre at best.

Yep. You're either born with it our you're not: You can't just go out and learn it if you don't already have it.

it's hard to explain and i guess there are always a lot of things to consider

the way i differentiate between them is that a skill is something you have to learn and perfect, whereas a physical attribute you are naturally born with or built for

like, in football (soccer), i wouldn't call Papa Bouba Diop particularly skilled for a top flight player, he just has Hulk-like strength and good fitness/work-rate

And was Toney still in his prime when that 3rd fight took place? No. Your argument is a wash. McaCallum WAS still prime for their first fight and arguably for their second.

Then please point out who on Mayweather's resume is a better fighter than McCallum. Or B-Hop's. Or Jones. Or Calzaghe. You can make a case for Pacquiao with his two wins of clear ATG Barerra but does anyone think Barerra WASN'T past it by the time he got in the ring with Manny? And if they do what have they been smoking?

it's hard though. that's why i just lump it all together. like i count chin and heart as a skill too.

i mean look at floyd. is it great defense or great speed and reflexes? hard to say it's both.

i would say it's both actually

i describe him as a kind of blend between B-Hop and RJJ in the ring, but leaning slightly further towards B-Hop
