personally id say mikkel, he is one of the most talented fighters out there at the minute, he is often dismissed as being nothing more than power punching 1,2 robot but he has a huge arsenal of punches that he often does not need to use. hes one of my fave fighters but the miranda fight just came at the wrong time, he was coming off a loss to joe and throwing him in there with someone as dangerous as miranda would be bad management. if he doesn't get a unification fight in the next yr with jean-pascal/froch then he really does have a lack of balls.

winky imo though deserves the title of wasting the year, he could have stepped up to take on pavlik and imo has the ring smarts and talent to beat him, but hes pricing himself out of it. he could have even confirmed his status as a great LMW by taking on williams but again money troubles.

That time however Kessler was ditched by Miranda simply because he wanted a return with Abraham. So putting the blame on Kessler is off the mark.
No, it's not off the mark. Kessler, or his manager rather, is entirely to blame. They rejected the first offer, then Miranda moved on because it was clear Kessler wasn't going to fight him. Then trying to save himself, Kessler's team tried to make Miranda look like the camp who didn't want the fight.

And it wasn't for the WBA title, that's the reason Kessler rejected it because apperently it wasn't a title fight and he wanted to fight for the title. At the time, Mundine was still champion...But then he vacated anyway.

Also another question, if the WBA could just magically make Kessler-Miranda for their trash belt, why couldn't they find most worthy opposition for Kessler rather then the two worthless people he fought in 2008?

Kessler's team didn't duck Miranda, but they were idiots for passing up such a golden opportunity.

Screw Miranda. If you go by the WBA ratings, they are pretty crappy.
I think it would be cool if Dirrell or Ward got a shot at Kessler, but that's probably not enough money in it for Team Bat, I mean Team Palle.
WBA's rankings are really bad. If he didn't fight those two bums, in order to keep his title, he just would've had to fight two other bums from the looks of it.
