Can and will are two different things.

"If Tony Tucker can KO Buster Douglas, Mike Tyson can. I'm sure of it."

        Logical, right? However, completely irrelevant.

Pavlik's got a more consistent attack than Froch. He's also got better defense and a solid chin, yet was within one solid punch of getting TKO'd himself by Taylor.

And it's not as though it came easy to Pavlik, otherwise he would've done it a second time, but he didn't. Largely because Taylor is an improved fighter since his first loss.

Iv read he is now after fighting Bute, hes scared of Froch big time.
        1. Prove that he was offered more money to fight Froch. And a claim from Mick Hennessy is hardly objective and does not count.

        2. Scared of Froch so he's going after Bute? Are you listening to yourself? Bute has a much better record than Froch and is considered the better fighter. That would be like claiming someone ducked Miranda to face Kessler.

The Froch nuthugging has got to stop until he proves himself worthy.

Okay let me rephrase that, casual boxing fans don't know who Froch is, hense why he'll never become the next British star.

Calzaghe was never the star he is today until he fought Lacy in 06. That's 9 years after a World Title win. He wasn't a big name to the casuals until after the Lacy fight.

Hatton was not known to casual boxing fans until the Tszyu fight in 2005. It was that fight that made Britain take notice. That was also his first World Title fight.

Froch is coming into his first title fight also. If he wins, and goes onto face Taylor and beats him, that will be the fight to make him. All fighters need 1 fight to make them a star.

I believe he will become one, as Calzaghe and Hatton look to retire with payday fights, Froch will take their mantle. Haye will also be the other boxer to take Cal/Hatton's tag.

Kell Brook needs time, but he can become huge.

True of American fight fans not of British fight fans.

Calzaghe was known for beating Eubank and Reid and Hatton was known as "That guy some dude who is useless, calls out all the time"

Hatton was also fighting in Venue's bigger than anything Vagas has to offer crowd wise 15 fights before he fought Tzsyu.

Not necessarily. Pure boxing fans knew of Calzaghe, but before the Lacy fight not many casuals did. Also, the Eubank fight made him a household name to the die-hards. Lacy put him on the world scene. Still, it was a title fight that propelled him. The same that will see Froch's name known. A British fighter with a World Title is a big deal (at large weight division).

Hatton mainly fought from the MEN Arena in Manchester, with Warrens' stable of British fighters thrown on the same cards. Froch is fighting to similar crowds also without a World title. That should change if he has one. You cannot deny that.

Froch is too slow and **** to be a so called 'star' like the tohers on that list. IMO none of them are true stars as none were really capable of even facing an elite fighter in their prime. Never mind fighting them, just facing them! Benn beat old codgers and got all wet. He is the only one of them though who deserves respec' for not beign a ***** arse HOMEboy.
