Benny what are you talking about? It was at 147. Hatton is a small man, he could have had an earlier career at lightweight or even featherweight and do just as much damage as Pacquiao et al and then come up but he is not an athelete outside the ring so this has kept him at his limit which is 140. Going up to 147 is too far for Hatton and it will be too far for Pacquiao. However it wasnt only the weight that lost the fight for Hatton, it was his **** gameplan, PBF was underestimated, but next time he wont be and Hatton will be ready, and it should happen at 140, if not then PBF is a ***** because it's not like PBF cant make the weight is it?

First, if Hatton could have fought lighter, he should have...I'm not sure he could have which is why he fought at a healthy weight of 140.

Next:

Floyd started at 130 and moved up in weight.


For the fight: When fighters fight at 140 they are able to make weight for the weigh-in by draining themselves....weight: 140. Right after the weigh-in they start to rehydrate bringing themselves back up to around 147-149 pounds; I would say for most.

Floyd was showing up for his fights at Welterweight {147} around 147-149 pounds by fight time. Yes, same weight that the JrWW {140} fighters fight at by fight time...including Hatton.

That's why I've considered it a fair fight; a JrWW fight without the charade of trying to make weight. Both fighters were fighting at their Jr.Welter-Weight fight time weight.

Add that to the fact that Hatton had turned Floyd down twice before at 140, what's the conclusion?


And how the hell do you underestimate the P4P best fighter in boxing? A fighter that was undefeated?


And for your remarks that if the fight doesn't happen at 140 or Floyd is a *****...Grow up. Floyd offered the fight twice and Hatton refused so he moved up to face Oscar.

There is no point of going through the charade of fighting at 140 if you are not 140 by fight time.

Plus, Floyd's the Champ and he started at 130; get over it.

I don't buy the Hatton revival theories. He's still past his best, and if the fight occurred today I'd pick Bradley over him in a close fight.

Money is always the big topic of discussion, but hungry fighters still want to get fights made to make a name for themselves.........................to up their own price tag right after with a win

He holds a title by the way. It's still about competing (for some)
