Mayweather, Sr. has been with Oscar so long that he'd be able to tell Hatton all of his flaws.

His biggest credential is being the father of Mayweather Jr., and it was Roger who mostly trained Jr. anyway.

Floyd Sr. built the Foundation; that's the most important part.

Yes, but maybe Sr. is worried to go up against a fighter he trained.

                  .
I was beginning to think I was the only one who noticed that. Everyone was saying how good Hatton looked thanks to Mayweather Sr.. It wasn't until he got rough "Graham style" that he started blowing Paulie out.

Loew built the foundation for Pavlik...that doesnt change the fact that hes a pretty bad trainer.

the one thing I can say that looked different about Hatton is that he kept his right hand up once, and blocked a left hook. he doesnt do that often, and he only did it once in the Malignaggi fight. but I guess thats better than nothing.

otherwise, when Hatton started being rough and really fighting, he did a lot better. the only thing that he was doing on the outside was landing that lead, almost leaping jab/left hand, and Ive seen him do that throughout his career. its his own, strange way to close distance, but it works out pretty well for him.
I cant really say that Sr made Hatton really worse, so maybe Im being a little critical of him. but I didnt see any major improvement, and I wouldnt exactly pay huge amounts of money for him either. I wouldnt choose him over Nacho.
