Mayweather Sr: "Money Will Decide, De La Hoya or Hatton"

If Oscar De La Hoya beats Manny Pacquiao on Decemeber 6, as many expect, trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. may find himself in a bidding war for his services. Mayweather Sr. has trained De La Hoya for almost every single fight since 2001. [details]

I wouldn't be surprised if DLH sticks with Beristain, he probably won't be asking DLH for as much money as Mayweather Sr. would and Beristain is arguably the better trainer anyways.

You'd think Floyd would have more loyalty to DLH since they've had so many fights together, but $ damn sure talks.

I wouldn't either, but it just seems Oscar as well as his brother, miss having Floyd Sr. there. And I think Floyd misses Oscar.

Nacho will certainly have Oscar fit.

Of course, Sr. is aslo trying to get his money up.

Well if Floyd, Sr. went back with DLH, it'd be a pretty easy situation to see. Oscar said Nacho is his trainer, the best in the world, etc. and his brother had the whole "Floyd wouldn't have taught him anything different" deal.

If Floyd, Sr. came back after this fight it'd show who Oscar really wants in his corner.

If Oscar does get Sr. back in his corner, if I was Ricky, I'd go after Roger Mayweather. Would be an entertaining 24/7 to say the least.

Im not exactly amazed with Mayweather Sr as a trainer, so who cares about him. I didnt see a big difference with Hatton in the Malignaggi fight. in fact, when Hatton reverted to his 'old' self, he did better.

His biggest credential is being the father of Mayweather Jr., and it was Roger who mostly trained Jr. anyway.
