The first 7 round against Williams, Williams was winning till Margarito picked up pace correct

The first 6 rounds Cotto was winning until Margarito picked up pace.

Margarito was ahead at the time of the stoppage correct. But against Williams, Williams chin was solid and his work rate was very good. That is why he won round 12

you're wrong cotto got hammered in round two. and from 1-6 margarito was landing some killer shots that did damage on cottto while cotto was landing mostly jabs. Margarito is alot more active early now and that is BAD NEWS for williams.
