Calzaghe should take a break from the sport. If Dawson can pick up a win against a known fighter there will be alot of money there for Joe to consider the fight. Dawson is huge risk, no reward at this point. Even if Calzaghe was to win in easy fasion people would say Dawson was unproven. the problem with these veteran fighters is that very seldom will they fight a young guy for 'short' money; dawson represents short money. i think they all learned a lesson when hopkins lost twice to taylor. now if calzaghe can make some serious money fighting dawson then he might consider. if i was calzaghe, i would only fight dawson in the uk. there he stands to make good money...

i can't think of anybody that could motivate calzaghe to fight again. people talk about chad dawson, please... dawson isn't even in calzaghe's league; he couldn't even get "ancient" tarver outta there. from middleweight on up boxing is in a "'recession". the only thing that could motivate him at this point in his career would be an astronomical amount of money.
i heard on hbo, during hatton's fight with paulie, that hatton made 40 million for his fight with mayweather; unf**king believable... these uk fighters are taking over boxing. hatton had 1.5 million buys in the uk alone which is 1/5 the size of the u.s. europeans are making all the money in boxing these days. de la hoya is the only fighter in the u.s making that kind of money. where is mayweather when we need him

dawson gives calzaghe problems tho....excellent counter-puncher, has height and reach advantages.......

MOST IMPORTANTLY, chad has the activity level to keep up w/ joe offensively, which is something we didn't see from hopkins or jones. chad also, tho he's no KO artist, has decent enough "pop" to hurt joe......

joes too good to say chad beats him, and chads too good to say joe definitely beats him, but this fight will be a much, much better outing, than the opposition we have seen in there w/ calzaghe.......IMO

did you see that one round, i believe it was round 6, where chad was letting tarver throw the kitchen sink at him, and chad kept screaming at tarver to him him harder? tarver took advantage and could not do crap with it. then the last 10 seconds of the round, chad throws a 6 punch combo. lol that was classic. i never seen tarver look so helpless.

same can be said about many fighters. NO WAY WILL OSCAR FIGHT MARGARITO. No way... yes, he lost to SMALLER SSM, PBF, FOUGHT MAYORGA, VARGAS.(after TITO DAMAGED them) RAN from TITO...
