styles make fights rookie. Cotto has the perfect style even now to beat Floyd.. Mayweather has a tendency of getting himself stuck on the ropes and just slipping punches Roy Jones style but against a guy like Cotto that will be his downfall because in the corner is where Cotto needs him to just pound away, Cotto is one of the BEST counter punchers in the sport of boxing today.
his body punching is his best weapon and he left that at home with Margarito. I don't think he expected it to be so intense, his defense though DID stop tony while they were in the center of the ring which leads me to Cotto's next mistake of backing into corners and doing exactly what I said Floyd would do and what Cotto would take advantage of. he made the same mistake against Tony that Floyd would make against him and has been doing against many others.
Castillo defeated Floyd by throwing a massive amount of punches and not stopping, Floyd is a defensive fighter who doesn't come fourth, in fact in his very last fight it was Hatton who leaped forward running into a hook and a pole, Floyd just stepped back and then to the side after landing that check hook.. if you claim to know Floyd so much you'd know he's a percentage fighter, he brings only enough to win, he is a 12 round fighter, a round winner..
Margarito did that to Cotto because he was able to tower over him, apply such accurate pressure unlike anything Cotto ever felt and he just wasn't ready, even still with his GREAT defense he was able to win the early half of the fight and only lost due to exhaustion on his own behalf. even now Cotto is STILL the better fighter overall Margarito was just better THAT DAY, skill wise you'd be the biggest Boxing Scene idiot if you say Cotto isn't a better Boxer/fighter than Margarito. Floyd doesn't have the ability nor the size to bring THAT kind of pressure to Cotto, in fact he and Cotto are like the same height it would be worse for Floyd.Comment

You can not seriously be using this as an excuse for why Mayweather did'nt fight Margarito. I deal with people who owe me money all the time and I'm not a millionaire.
It's time to admit reality and stop pretending nothing is Mayweather's fault.
Mayweather ducked Margarito AND Cotto. It's time to stop making believe he did'nt.Comment

To be fair, Arum counter-sued Floyd for money he says was owed to him by Floyd's camp, and that was the reason he held back on paying Floyd. Aside from that, what better way to get back at a guy u hate, other than fighting and beating one of his top fighters and bread and butter? Floyd didnt have to sit down with Arum. He has advisors, lawyers for that. They do all his legwork and negotiations for him. All Floyd had to do was get in the ring and fight. Like i said....what better payback than beating one of Arum's top fighters?Comment
