What I will say is Paulie was occasionally catching him very cleanly and if he had good power, might of rocked him a few times. Unfortunately, he doesnt have much power and Hatton still needs to tighten up his defense. He showed lapses of his old self from time to time, lunging in with his right hand low as hell as he throws a wide, telegraphed left hook.

I'm thinking those lapses were due to the fact that he was facing someone with minimal power but there's really no way of finding out. I do tip my hat off to Hatton, he performed much better than I expected.

    Good win.
I ****ing hate that movehead-pause-leaping-up-jab move that Hatton does a lot. Hate it.

Have you been smoking something? The ref did not win the fight for Hatton. He did some rough stuff but would have won with the strictest version of Queensbury rules! All I can say is that Paulie Malignaggi is like Hector Comacho without the talent. If ricky wants a Blue Peter badge from me he has to work harder. He can start with a Luis Collazo rematch, an should be gunning for likes of Pacman, Cotto, Williams, Margo, Witter and even Judah without making excuses about weight divisions. Fight the best to be the best, just like he dared to do V PBF. I already give Fat boi more cred than granny grabber Calslappy

Yeah no way did he ever really hurt Hatton. He landed some shots, even a couple check left hooks. I know he landed one I think in the 10th and all Ricky did was say ahhh. Like he knew he shouldn't have let that happen.

Hatton was caught flush on a few occasions, nothing more, nothing less. He was never hurt and would of went on to beat him by a near shut out.

Indeed he was. Sad coming from someone who went to the ref prior to the fight to warn against Hatton doing it.

Man, did you even watch the fight? That punch landed square and ****ed Hatton's eye up bad. Hatton was shaken up bad after that. If he didn't hold Paulie could have caught him with a big counter and, even with his lack of power, Hatton might not have been able to take it.

I think it was a bad stoppage from the ref and Paulie still had a good chance of winning. Hatton's eye was getting worse and Paulie was catching him more and more with good counter's. McGirt ruined that fight.

Hatton is still probably number three on the P4P lists now though. I think Paulie falls off them now as well with that loss.

I'm on the same boat. In all honesty though, I think if Hatton would've had a better trainer from day 1 he could've achieved much much more and would've been much much closer to being a complete fighter. As many flaws as he has you can definitely see the potential in him.

Think about it, he pretty much got this far by himself.

That's his most effective punch IMO...caught Mayweather a few times wit it. I've sparred with a few kids who've tried to emulate it and I can say it's hard to defend sometimes because of the angle it comes from. You think you're slipping the jab, and you get hit with it. but after a while you can see it coming..

That right hand ****ed Hatton up bad.

Still, I think that Hatton is now number four on the P4P list. Maybe three with this win. If McGirt didn't stop it so prematurely though, Paulie still had a chance to catch Hatton coming in and get a TKO. He was starting to get caught on the way in, and even Paulie with no power could have cracked Hatton's chin with one of those solid check hooks.

I think the new Hatton could possibly beat Mayweather though. As long as they fought at 140 of course.
I don't think paulie ever hurt hatton... one time paulie caught hatton off balance though.
