LOL. how is Adamek ever going to be able to make 168? Of course a weight-drained fighter would lose.
He was a Light-Heavyweight who has now moved up to CW.

My point is this: A fighter may be "very good" in one division but if/when he moves up, there is no guarantee he can beat the competition in the next division.

If Kessler moved up and fought Adamek when Adamek was Champion at 175, how would he have done?

If you say Kessler loses, then it shows Dawson fought the better fighter.

Dawson is huge risk with little reward right now. If Dawson could beat a mainstream name, Hopkins or Pavlic, it would be more money involved for Calzaghe to consider the fight. Pavlic was the best option before being dominated by the legendary Benard Hopkins. I thin Calzaghe should take a break from the sport until someone can give him a big payday.

All everyones gone on about is Calzaghe picking on pensioners. When one was the LHW #1 and 7 years older, the other a legend and 2 years older.

Those are also legitimate reasons for fights. What do you want to do, refuse to fight the LHW #1 because he's too old, even though he is the genuine top guy? Would that get you more respect?

Reasons for fights aside, thats irrelevent, the facts of the matters are if your going to rant on about age differences as some kind of excuse, it's completely legimitate to take fire back on the same basis of your logic, that infact Dawson faced older guys on the whole.

I don't dis respect Dawson much or go on about him beating older guys much as I like him, it's just when people try to completely undermine Calzaghe's wins due to age. That is way more biased than anything, that's all I'm trying to point out.

i have seen polls on espn.com boxingscene.com and on ********boxing.
i don't know why people say it was split when in reality the majority of the world don't even find that fight to be contraversial it was all joe calzaghe

its not about age, its moreso about abilities......hopkins is 43, but i'd favor him over anthony hanshaw.....
