And Calzaghe beat Hopkins, one measley score card had him losing by -1 round, the other judges a clear consensus win per public opinion also, 3 rounds on one, a wide 5 rounds on another, more than Taylor ever managed.

What did a 43 year old Hopkins do to deserve a fight with Joe?
Two losses to Jermain Taylor, a close, ugly win against Wright and a decision against Tarver?
How about Roy Jones, who fought Prince Badi Amaju, Anthony Hanshaw and a completly shot Trinidad?
Dawson is a young undefeated champion who has proven more at light heavy that either of those two have as of late.

They have legend status and name recognition. Dawson has neither.

show me some official ****.....i dont give a **** about fanboys favoring calzaghe over dawson, that **** doesn't matter to me....it was a hefty amount of people on here who thought pavlik was gonna beat the hell outta hopkins too.....so unless you got posts from experts or acutal boxing writers, i could care less.......

calzaghe got the fight, yeah one judge gave it to hopkins.....but a lot of other people thought hopkins won too. sorry, im not alone bruh, its not a clear consensus......glen johnson is a journey man w/ 10 losses. he has been fighting longer than chad dawson, BUT he's not a bigger name, and definitely not a bigger prize at this point. i haven't heard ANYONE in recent memory calling for a fight w/ glen johnson...did i mention he LOST to dawson also?

dawson has done more than hopkins.hopkins beat the man at lh at the time in tarver so that made him the top dog

honestly i think calz beat dawson but that doesn't mean he shouldn't make the fight. but if calz fought glen johnson i'd be ok with that... i mean johnson is a 40+ year old and that fits calz's MO.
