What you fail to realize is Shane is a contracetd fighter with HBO while Margarito APPEARS on HBO. THATS the difference. HBO isnt putting up the money for Margarito no matter how many seats he fills. they do have a point in that mosley doesnt really bring in that many fans, his big fights were big because of the opponents he faced. when he fought oscar twice, when he fought cotto, those were PPV because of oscar and cotto. margarito could fight anywhere and the place will be packed beacause mexican boxers have loyal fans who support their man. but i think he should take the fight and add another big name to his resume, because thats how you build up legacy by beating big names.
he and oscar should be the ones fighting anyway but oscar backed away as soon as margarito destroyed cotto in a great fight. this is why people dont respect boxing and why UFC is taking the limelight away from this sport, the great fighters are constantly avoiding each other and the ones that are willing to take the risks never get the opportunity.

You make good points, but if marg can fight anywhere and anybody then why is he chasing dlh all over the place? why does he have to rematch cotto? if marg is a box office draw he doesn't need anyone. he can go the calz route and fight nobodies and make millions without any risk.

I agree with you that he should take the fight w/ shane and take a bullet in the pocket to put shane on his resume... because that's basically what shane is doing imho... shane is selling marg his name. marg does not realize this.

Williams erased the loss to Quintiana with a devastating 1st round KTFO. he fought Kolles because marg wouldn't rematch him... he couldn't get any welterweight to fight him. so he went to another division... he wasn't sitting on his hands like Marg is. Marg is living off his cotto victory... financially and in respects to his career.

Margarito wanted to rematch him after their fight. How many times do we have to tell you to implant that **** in your ******ed ass head??? If that's the case then PW ducked Margarito for the rematch after their first fight.

HBO is ALWAYS going to pay Shane more money than Margarito. And unless Margarito gets a decent dance partner, he doesnt make any additional money from PPV revenue.

Simply put, Margarito aint holding out from fighting Williams because of immediate rematches werent given, or money wasnt really offered. He prefers to sit out a year and wait for Cotto cause it's an easier fight. Meaning a Williams fight is HARDER= HE DONT WANT IT AGAIN
