You are selectively missing the point. Shane is a CONTRACTED HBO fighter. Shane didnt fight as Margarito's undercard cause he had to. He chose to.

At the end of the day, the January date was SHANES date, not Margarito's. Thats why the amount of total purse money has not changed since Margarito pulled out. If HBO thought so much of Margarito, why didnt they lower the purse money after he decided to pass on the fight? The show goes on WITHOUT Margarito because HBO feels like they could do with or without him either way.
