Team Margarito Discuss Mosley, Paul Williams Rematch

All I will say is this. Antonio Margarito sold out the Home depot center as a champion well before he won his high exposure fight, I was there and nobody can convince me otherwise. Shane Mosley fought in the same arena vs Mayorga who's drawing power eclipses a 07 (or current) Williams, and filled about 1/3 of the seats. Tony's fight against Cotto sold at least 450,000 ppv acoording to ESPN, and Mosley has never done that unless he is fighting Oscar. Tony is at the top of his game, fame, and status. Shane is on his way down, and has always been the opponent, even in his highest grossing fights. If not the case, not knowing the numbers on his winkey or forrest fights i would look at those numbers and compare them to the 450,000 (pre recession too, haha lol, jk).

Tony is the draw now.

About williams, get him a real offer, he will take it if the money is decent, i know he wants back at him based on interviews i've seen on spanish network tv shows, but top rank hates goosen at really ties him up on that.

But I also realise that he has become quite a name in the latino community and can generate numbers worthy of a favorable split against Mosley, and a real offer that can not be quoted as 4 Million to the top rank team :for his services", big poppa pump back me up on this if it's not what the press release explicitly said then I will admit that 4 million gauranteed is a considerable amount which he is ****** to deny.

Some guys have it stuck in their heads that because fighter A has fought more years, against bigger names, that he is automatically the bigger draw.

There's no way Mosley would deserve more than $1.5M against Tony as that is the same he took to fight Mayorga in a fight that barely drew 5000 attendance.

That $4Million offer from Williams/Goosen was against 50% of the gross revenues and Goosen would take over as the lead promoter of the event. With those terms, Margarito would be lucky to receive $2Million from Arum not that Top Rank would ever agree to such an arrangement in the first place.

Sounds like Margs is looking for that Pwill offer. Goosen will probably have the contract in the ring after Verno gets "Punished". But it will not say 4 mill anymore, around 3.3. If I were Margs, I would rather fight Pwill for 3.3 or more, than fight SSM for 2 mill flat.

I had very little respect for Margarito as a fighter before. But I always thought he was sincere when he said he'd fight anybody.

In 3 months, he's ducked more people than Mayweather supposedly ducked in 3 years.

He ducked a Clottey rematch

This is getting pathetic. Since when does beating Miguel Cotto make you a superstar? Shane Mosley beat Oscar De La Hoya. Margarito has never done anything close to comparable to that.
