Can't see him retiring just yet, he hasn't earned enough money, and there's lots of easy £££ to be made.

The man is over-rated, but he is still one of the best boxers of the last decade
what prime p4p fighter did he prove that against. he ducked roy, toney and bhops in their prime and waited until bhop and roy were old to fight them he is a **** fighter a ****ing coward built in the mold of de la hoya. who also feasted on older fighters and fighters shorter thean him.

nobody in the states knows who joe is he is a **** fighter and won't be missed. he ducked dawson for three years. and went for the old hasbeens who were no longer in championship form or could compete at that level.

dawson is a young prime p4p champ[ion unl;ike lacy or kessler who will never be considered p4p of anything

Oh FFS, at least try and talk some sort of sense amongst the crap. Even Dawson wouldn't have thought he had any right to be in the same ring as Calzaghe prior to June 2007 at the very earliest. And even then, Dawson had shown nothing in the way of credentials that Lacy hadn't... and didn't until beating Tarver.

BTW, if you want to see 'ducking' in action in reality rather than fantasy.. try looking at the excuses being made to avoid Kessler.

If he has retired good luck to him.
That was the right decision to make..

he really retiring? He still fighting so well, I dont know why he would stop. I know he and his father feel there is nothing left to prove. But there is still some names out there, and he can try to catch a belt in other weight classes if he truly wants to acheive greatness.. He has done good things. but I hate to admit the critics will say stuff like. he fought him when he was old. and he wasnt even that good, etc etc..
