But saying it was 8-2 is a bit too much.I'm saying Cotto fans against Margarito fans , because if you compare Mex vs PR at the fight of course there was more Mexicans the West coast is full of Mexicans. Dont you think it would off being the opposite if the fight where at NY?

8-2 is not too much man. I wouldn't of been surprised if I heard 10-1 or even 15-1 ratio. It is on the westcoast, which is populated by alot of Mexicans. It would of been the other way around if it were to be in NY. Now Imagine if it were to of been in L.A.?? Wouldn't be shocked if its like 50 or 100 to 1.

You also have to understand majority of the big fights are held in Vegas. Tito got more popularity cause he fought in Vegas. That's just the way I see it.

Ernie who works for boxingscene, maxboxing and was part of margarito's team for a little bit has already stated numerous times that, that was a publicity stunt. No offer was ever sent to arum or team margarito, margarito's manager himself said there WAS NEVER AN OFFER SENT TO THEM. You guys buy into this media **** so easily, actually i don't even think you guys buy it but since there's really nothing to bash about margarito you guys grab something and run with it.

ur not getting the mathematics... arum/top rank get there fixed percentage...

if margarito is offered 1 million... lets say marg only gets half... so he makes 500k

if marg is offered 2 million... he gets... one million....

he was offered 4 million... which means he would get 2 million, which is more then hes ever made...

the fact that arum takes his cut is pointless... arum takes his cut on every fight...on every purse... only this time, the purse being offered was more then any other purse... regardless of arum taking his cut, martg STILL ends up with more then hes ever made

Actually Tony had a PPv before the Cotto fight. It was against manuel Gomez at teh Alladdin in Vegas. It sold virtually nothing, I actually bought it cause i was bored. The crowd was small, which is expected cause Margarito was never a big name or big ticket seller.
