But while you attack my threads and me.

    You cannot address my points...
    Because They are all true..!!!

I work in a industry in where marketing and communication is everything,
so when I look at what Margarito and Cotto are doing from a business standpoint. I Look in Disbelief..!!

I loved boxing my whole life, so when i look at what Margarito and Cotto
are doing from a Legacy standpoint, I watch in disappointment and understanding that these guys just dont get it.

Say what you like about me, but these are the facts.

Neither Margarito or Cotto have validated themselves as great fighters
in which their resume and career achievement speaks for it's self.
Therefore as of right now at this point of their career, instead of validating their careers they are both still in the mindset of trying to make a name for themselves.

    • Margarito is going down the road of a Winky wright.
    • Cotto is going down the road of a Fernando Vargas.

These guys Just dont get it.

Sadly neither do some of you
    I'm not going to lie...

Margarito becoming Wright seems pretty accurate.
I think it's too early to call Cotto the next Vargas, but... he just had his first part of Vargas's story against Margarito, like Vargas did when his chin let him down against Trinidad.

That would be a pretty incredible prediction if it came true Horus.

Your mad at the fact that he wanted to get his name out there?
He was getting boxing out there.
Dancing with the stars is one of the most watched shows...

Don't go switching the subject now...and as for Margarito...dude isn't the best WW! he has unfinished business...Maybe as a fan you should worry about that?

DWiens People tend to discredit me because I overkill with stats and facts when I talk about Floyd and his opponents. And to be truthful I only do it
because I am holding some of these posters to the same standard that
they themselves hold other fighters too.

So when I see Margarito Recent Moved By ducking
        • Mosley for 2 Million
        • Williams for 4 Million

When His highest Payday ever is 1.5 Million, and when he has nothing on the table to fall back on. I Think it IS ******.

Because this is the same thing Winky Wright did after he beat Mosely....
He overprice himself, and in effect mess up his career...

Remember after the Moselyt fight, who Called Winky Wright Out?

No other than Floyd Mayweather himself....

and the only reason the fight didnt happen was because winky wanted a 50/50 split.

Looking back on that decision, Winky have to be kicking himself in the head everyday because Mayweather went on to be recognized as the best of his generation and now it is almost impossible to get a fight with him unless you bring alot to the table.

Now look at a fighter Like Williams who offer Margarito 4 Million dollars to fight.
Williams is probably going to be the next big thing p4p king in boxing. After he cleans up 154 and has a mandate to be reconize as the p4p number fighter in the sport based on his body of work. Margarito is missing the boat because he is overpricing himself just like winky did. BECAUSE HE IS NOT TAKING THE FIGHTS TO VALIDATE HIIMSELF LIKE ALL GREAT FIGHTERS HAVE TO DO.

When fans look back 10yrs from now, are they really going to say that Floyd beat a great champion for the lineal WW championship of the world? No. Baldomir was a one hit wonder, and now he's gone. Floyd did a smart thing by capatilizing off of Judahs ******ity by letting himself get beat by a journeyman. That i'll give to Floyd, but i cant give him any credit for that win regardless of the fact that Baldo was the lineal champ because under those shiny belts was a journeyman with 9 losses who just so happened to get lucky against Zab "the idiot" Judah.

Belts/titles or no belts/titles..........Margarito >>>>>> Baldomir all day long!

              Margarito does > Baldomir.

Think of this though... At any time, if Mayweather decides to come back... he is the biggest fight in the WW division for any opponent, right? Becuase he is the last lineal champion in the division.

I don't know if that was the plan or not, but... it really does keep him in a position to get any fight he wants in the division.

And as long as he comes back to fight a credible opponent who poses an actual threat, i dont see why anyone would have a problem with that. Its when he goes fishing for high pay/low risk fights against weak champions that people have a problem with. If that's what you're in the sport for...Cool. Just dont go running around calling yourself the best ever, when your greatest accomplishents were 6-7yrs ago. (Castillo & Corrales)

                    Agreed on all accounts.

I'm just saying, Mayweather might have picked Baldomir because it did place him at the top of the division technically, so everyone would always want a piece of him... That never goes away either. Even if he comes back, he will still be the lineal champion, so he can get a fight if he wants.

I honestly do hope he stays retired, unless he really has gotten his head clear and now wants to fight for greatness in the sport, and not for money. I don't want to see rematches with ODLH and Hatton...
