Tony fighting Shane at this stage of Mosleys career doesn't do much or nothing for his resume because after the fight, "Shane was too old and past his prime, why doesn't he fight other guys in their prime".

If you don't believe me, check the words of the board from two weeks ago.


Would I still like to see it? Sure, I'm a boxing fan, but this fight has never really generated any interest from me at all. I'd rather see Tony vs prime welterweights just like I do for every other fighter in his prime.

This is exactly why Mosley is one of my all time favorites. His willingness to **** with anyone, his style and most of all, he just seems like a sincerely awesome person. I'm not much in favor of this fight because imo, it doesn't really do much for the division as Mosley isn't prime anymore, but I applaud him for always giving us fans our monies worth.

if margarito sells out as many arenas as you all make it seem than why does he not get paid more than he does? why did it take his entire career to get a buzz if all these people go to see him fight?

but lets spin it back to Shane

if Shane

1. cant outsell the same arena Margarito did
2. hasnt pulled a ppv over 425 without the name DLH being attached
3. and whose last fight in Vegas drew less than Margarito's fight with Gomez (let alone Cotto)

then why he is making SO much money when its obvious there isnt any value in it?

there obviously is some value there if shane is such a big prodct for golden boy but of course you are the boxing organizations accounted so you know everything about all the money that comes in to boxing and who gets it.

shane is the bigger name more people know shane thats a good enough reason to fight but of course you like to bring it back to the money issue but complained when floyd or oscar make fight for the most money

You won't find it though because I'm a boxing fan who rarely if ever gets involved in money discussions.

I care what happens in the ring, not the bank account.


It wouldn't matter to me if Tony made 10 trillion, the fight with Mosley is pretty insignificant considering the circumstances.

I actually think he should take the money and dont really see the point in holding out for more when fankly there isnt any. Trust me I get critical of the moves Margarito makes

bigger name than who? Margarito? prove that to me.

and find where I complained about Mayweather getting paid. I never did in fact I understood his route to Oscar 100%.
