In my opinion I think Joe does even though he had some questionable career moves at least he stuck it out until he thought he was too old for it.
I will go with JC... although BOTH guys get more credit then they deserve

Works both ways dude. Would RJJ and Hopkins gone to the UK to fight? No. In fact Hops was supposed to do it in 2002, but then backed he out. RJJ asked for $25 million just to fight Dariusz Michalczewski, so there's no way he'd go over to the UK and fight Joe. This ties in with what Warren said about Roy always pricing himself out of a fight with Joe, yet somehow, it was worthwhile fighting Clinton Woods, and for Hopkins, Morade Hakkar, which is the fight he took instead of Calzaghe.

Top Europeans fighters(Calzaghe) get avoided by the top Americans fighters because they are too high risk/low reward. That's a fact!

No one in the states was interested in Calzaghe. You couldn't make a pound off him! So how was he supposed to come to America and attract the attention of the big guns in the USA?

B-hop agreed to fight Calzaghe in 02 but changed his money demands overnight.

RJJ didn't want to come over to the UK, but at the same time didn't make Calzaghe offer to come and fight him in the USA.

I don't even think Calzaghe was a champion when James Toney was at 168?!?

It is not about who he dodged, I don't believe he dodged anyone, it is about who they fought.

Bottom line, up until the Kessler fight Joe's best wins were over a past prime Eubank and an overrated Lacy.

Mayweather's wins over prime elites like Corrales and Castillo get more credit than Joe's over past prime versions of Jones and BHop IMO. Add to that the fact that Mayweather beat De la Hoya and a prime Hatton in addition to several other top fighters along the way and I think he deserves to be rated over Joe.

Yeah I'll admit that I didn't even know who Calzaghe was untill Lacy. So it makes sense.

Im sorry, when was the last time a number 1 p4p fighter went overseas to fight someone who is relatively unknown(esp during the late 90s and early 2000s)?

                      enlighten me..

no1 knew who calzaghe was until he beat lacy in 06
