Joe's punches are not pitty pats but there not in the same league as Patterson, Patterson was knocking out heavyweight's cold, If Hopkins and Roy can put him down a devastating puncher like Patterson would have no trouble knocking Joe out.

I just don’t see joe having any advantages in this fight, Patterson has better speed, power, defence, footwork and strength, maybe Joe has a better chin but I doubt this as Patterson was only ever Ko’d against big punching heavyweights Ingo and Liston. Patterson's combination punching was amazing for a guy of his size.

Calzaghe has the advantage of experience. Floyd was very young at 175, Calzaghe was 36 by the time he got there.

I'm not saying that Calzaghe would win, but fights like Louis-Schmelling I and II show the difference between a very talented guy who is still green, and a very talented guy who has reached his peak.
