I think Hatton won't able to reach Paulie as much as he even did Mayweather. Paulie's defense and offense are his legs and alot of lateral movement. He will move and move and pop shot Hatton...Collazo style for most of the rounds. Some of the rounds will be competitive during the few times Malignaggie gets trapped in a corner, but still close and some of em will go to Hatton.

Lets also keep in mind that Hatton too had a bad performance in his last fight and almost got dropped with the same punch that Mayweather dropped him with. And that against a much slower, less effective puncher.

Lets keep in mind that Hatton is getting older and he said, he will not stop drinking. Cutting all that weight year after year has got to be taking a toll on his body and stamina.....NOTHING LASTS FOREVER. Maybe it already showed against Lazcano. The signs are there, Hatton is fading quick and Malignaggie is a slick and trimm/in shape natural jr-welterweight who walks around 150lb at most in between fights.
So Paulie has a better defense than Mayweather?

Paulie is no trouble for Hatton.
It doesn't sound like you read the whole thing or you just chose to ignore it, more convinient for you. I compared Lazcano to Mayweather and the similar punch that they both landed on GETTING HITMAN's Jaw.

Both landed in the 10th round in the same Corner:

They almost look identical, except for the whole head-into-the-turnbuckle thing.

Now If a lesser skilled fighter like Lazcano can land the same type of hook like Mayweather did, on Ricky's home turf with his own referee (who saved his ass btw), then you know Paulie will have a field day with him.

I like Rickey in this fight. Paulie acts overly confident. Sometimes a turnoff.

NO, Paulie has better legs/movement then Mayweather. And he needs it more then Floyd, because he doesn't have the upper body defense of Pretty Boy.

            Clear?

Wow, the only guy coming close to Floyd's footwork is Gamboa, but Paulie's feet are not so good. Hatton will corner him about 5 times a round.

You said that Paulie will be harder to hit for Hatton than Mayweather. Is there anyone in the sport harder to hit cleanly than Floyd, other than maybe Hopkins?

Paulie's feet are excellent, I don't know where you get your nonsense from.

99.9% of his victories are due to his strong legs that he uses every minute of every round.....sticking and moving/ sticking and moving/ moving, moving/ stikcing and moving. Floyd didn't do this because of his shoulder roll defense but still got caught due to his lack of movement.

Paulie is a one-dimensional slick fighter. There are one-dimensionals agressive fighters like Juan Urango and then there are those who are slick boxers (sharmba mitchell, Cory Spinks etc,.) and need their legs for defense and to get their shots off. These guys are different from a Floyd or Pernell Whitaker.

It will be enough to conquer Ricky.

Yes in Hatton's case, he will have a harder time reaching/getting to Paulie.

Harder to hit...NO. Mayweather is one of the best. Hitting air because the guy you're fighting is constantly on his toes moving....that's Malignaggie's game plan fight-after-fight.

Floyd is not a RUNNER like Spinks, Paulie and Sharmba MItchell. And Paulie throws combinations. I believe at this stage, that's enough to beat the pale skinned midget.
