Im A Huge Haye Fan But Last Night Proved Nothing At All

Lets be honest barret is a ****in can.a can of tomatos and haye knew it thats why he chose him to test the waters. haye is my nucka but with his talent, top physical conditioning and power he shouldve got barret out in the 1st rd anything outside the 2nd was unacceptable.he knocked him down multiple times but didnt finish him and let the fight linger on for what seemed like years.it was funny watching him crush a overmatched can but haye needs 3-4 more fights against names b4 i take him serious.

3-4 fights is a bit much don't you think. Certainly 1 or 2 before the Klitschkos. Also, is it a crime to get some experience in the ring, it was his first full-time Heavyweight fight so he's going to want some experience from it. Knocking him out in 1 round wouldn't have answered any questions.

Haye needs to start somewhere in the HW division. He chose to fight a man who had Wlad on his resume and he did finish the man before wlad did. I know Barret was shot and all of that, but it's not like he struggled with him at all.

All in all solid foundation for Haye to begin his HW career on. Nothing more, nothing less

i thought Haye would knock Monte out in the second but 5th round ko its not bad for an HW debut (or re-debut) at all. As a warmup Monte was legit.

He looked dominant, good tune-up for him. He could fight Wlad but he should stay away of Vitali.

Barrett is not a shot fighter he is actually in pretty good shape compared to the rest of the division.

                i kinda agree

i want to see him fight two more times, against Ibragimov and Samuel Peter maybe? then Wlad, then Vitali

You say it proved nothing but then say it was unacceptable that he didn't knock him out in 2 rnds.....

It is one fight and a comfortable win. Haye is probably too small and weak-chinned for this era of super-heavies, but he provides excitement every fight and that's enough for me to be a fan.

lets be fair to Haye it was his first fight at HW why would he put himself in arms way when he does not have to Barrett was on his way anyway as Lennox Lewis said why give your oponent a chance that he does not have

                    1st,2nd round it was inevitable
