well he just beat a HW gatekeeper so by definition the win proved he belongs in the top ten(ish) of the hw division.

Well he had Barrett scrambling with punches that didn't even land flush so his power and speed is clearly going to be a big asset. His balance seemed poor, often lunging in with hooks that a more responsive fighter would lap up.

He beat a legitimate solid heavyweight who has mixed in good company.

It proves he is too good for guys of that level, despite his strength and defensive and chin frailties.

Imagine what Haye vs Peter would look like? Massacre.

Thinking about it, I don't think Haye has much chance against either Klitschko. Everything is against him in terms of physical and mental attributes. They're smart men. They will just hang off him for fours rounds tire him out, and pick him off there after.

barrett is a gatekeeper so it was a good fight to start at HW. if wlad or vit are ready for haye then he should go for the fight, because the longer haye stays at HW the stronger he will feel at that weight. However... I believe Haye should get a tune up against one of the other russians/eastern europeans just to get a feel for the height disparity and the robotic style.

This is ridiculous. Haye did what he had to do, looked fast and powerful, a R1 KO is unrealistic.

to me it proved he has more to prove in hw . . . jumping in to the super fight with on of the klits makes me think he doen t care if he wins or looses, he just wants the big pay check. if he fights a couple more top guys gets really ready to fight on of the klits then i give him a better chance. as of right now, i dont see him getting by either of them. he has a chance cause of his quickness and power, but i truly think he gets beaten by both.
