Roy got hit a ton more in the early rounds of Woods.At the time big George said it was cause Roy "wasn't warm".

Roy still looked way better than everyone else at that point, but he was getting hit a lot more.

Before that Gen Kelly-well that fight doesn't really tell you anything since it was Glen Kelly.

I didn't get to see Tarver vs Jones 1 live but I read how great Tarver had fought, I caught the fight the next week on HBO. It was more of Jones not being the same fighter to the one I had seen for years IMO, you could still see him do great things in spurts but that was the end of RJ the P4P king.
