Don't bother. We'll all be here when Kessler fights next. And then you can carry on with your logic then. Hopefully you won't need it but somehow I get the feeling you will.Comment

Let me ask you and others: What excuse does Dawson legitimitely have for turning down a Kessler fight at a catchweight? He CAN make 168 so 170 cannot be that bad can it?Comment

Kessler is not ducking Dawson. Remember Dawson is fighting at a higher weight class. Ducking is a word I really do not like and it gets tossed around way too much around here. Especially when they say the fighter is doing the ducking, when in fact, more often than not it's the management making the decisions.
It still does not look good for his team though. Palle should have said something like, if nothing else pans out against Froch/Pascal or Lacy/Taylor, then we will consider the Dawson offer. He also could have said Kessler is not ready for the 175lb plunge yet. All would be fair that way.
Kessler should really stop going after the Hopkins/Calzaghe's on the Old Timer circuit and start chasing challenges on the mainstream circuit.
The longer Kessler's team waits, the harder it will become for them to land good fights in the future. I personally think they should have taken the fight. It is a risky one yes but Dawson is willing to take it.Comment

Money, and nothing ells maid "Us the boxing mecca".
But for Calzaghe, Froch, Bute, Abraham and Kessler it ain't true anymore. Now EU-fighters, who wants to get recognized, has to travel to US in front of few celebrities to fight against poor quality fighters fore less money and less spectators - why??
For years US has been the "world champion" in baseball, ice hockey and basketball, but only to lose when they have to fight abroad!
Maybe it is time be a little humble and Dawson calling out Calzaghe and Kessler says is all !!!!!Comment

I just saw this quote/translation on another site. I wonder if Bat can verify this:
Reporter: Is it because you think that Chad would beat Kessler ?
Palle: I dont know, but its too big a risk, for too little money, Mikkel doesn´t deserve that.Comment

I think I can confirm. I'll get back to it a little later. I'm busy sorry.Comment
