You mean he will carry on fighting crap 168 fighters in Denmark rather than go for a challenge. Imagine the oppotunities for him if he did win.

And then let me know how bad Kessler wants to fight real opponents while he takes on his third straight croissant.
Problem is, that real opponents does not only exist in the US. Kessler is so
popular now, that every body can call you out and if he says no, he ducks you!
Please wait and see who Kessler fights next and then we can comment him. Believe me, danish boxing fans will judge him hard and fair.

If Kessler loss to Dawson, then there are plenty of names that wants to fight at back at super middle( like Froach, Taylor, ect). He is the best super middleweight and the biggest name in the division, and Dawson doesn't have that recognition at 175 yet so he would have to get back in line for those titles again. Hope that made sense.
Which is exactly why Kessler wants to fight Hopkins, Calzaghe or someone else with more recognition than Dawson. Now, that makes sense.

Kessler is popular where? His last fight on HBO was the lowest rated in the show's history, I believe.

And we know real opponents don't exist in the US only but cupcakes exist everywhere and that's all Kessler's been feasting on...much of his career, to be honest.

But let's see what he does. So far he's fought a mandatory and turned down an intriguing bout against another opponent who can't secure a big fight. If he fights another "mandatory"...

The problem is that US call them self the Mecca of boxing - but actually it means they wants to see 2 old Us-fighters against each other. Only place Kessler isn't known is in US, probably because he would beat Lacy, Hopkins, Taylor, Wright, Dawson. To become atg the best move for Kessler would be to take on DLH like Hopkins. Fights like these make you a legend???

Try to stick to the topic. A US fighter called out Kessler. His team said no thanks. End of story.

I haven't had time to read the entire thread, so someone may have said this, but is there any chance Kessler is waiting for the result of the Taylor/Lacy fight or even Froch/Pascal fight before deciding what his next move is? There is a good possibility he is eying one of these guys to start clearing out the division he is actually in. I know he called out two LHWs already in Calzaghe and Hopkins, but they bring more name recognition than Dawson... he could find bigger name opponents (at least one, Taylor) in his own division to fight than Dawson, TBH. Sucks but it's the truth.

That said, if none of the above are on his radar, Kessler should take the Dawson fight before agreeing to any more mandatory defenses.

stop being so naive. america doesn't CLAIM to be the Mecca of Boxing, its UNIVERSALLY RECOGNIZED as the Mecca of boxing by the world. and Kessler himself said he was ready to make an impact in America.

Kessler isn't ducking anyone. When a promoter is your manager they run the show.Unfortunately they also go about making theyre fighters look bad along the way.

The title of this thread is wrong.
It should be Morgens Palle say's no to Dawson vs Kessler.
