My personal opinion is NO, he will not go the way of the Lacy's and the Hamed's of the world. Keep in mind it was Kelly's first fight at 170, and he was facing a man who just barely lost to the pound for pound #1 or 2, in Joe Calzaghe. Kelly lost to a Hopkins who was the best Hopkins we've seen in a while. Kelly is still a beast at his weight of 160. Lacy was fighting Calzaghe at 168, and was undefeated at 168, but he lost bad. Kelly is still undefeated at 160, and will continue to fight at 160, where he has done nothing but impressed. So to all the people claiming Kelly is going to fade like Lacy, he's still undefeated at 160 lbs. and is still the ****in champ. watch and see just how good he will be in the years to come. I promise.
i hope pavlik doesnt, otherwise hopkins said he will go to his hometown, drag him out of his house and slap some sense into him! lol.i think hamed and lacys situations were different.hameds problem was that he found it hard to go through the rigours of training and fighting when he had already made upwards of 80 mil in his short career.I wouldnt wanna go to work if I had that sort of dough! lol

      No way.

Lacy took the beating of a lifetime, Pavlik just got schooled.

He's still a good boxer, his biggest enemy is gonna be his own mindset after this loss if he's taking it as bad as he seems to be.
I havent heard anything about him taking it badly.what have you heard?

Lets get this out of the way first - Pavlik was not proven. Taylor had fallen by the wayside since the Hopkins fights and Miranda never was. The rest = not a lot.

It's a very accurate parallel IMO so it'll be interesting. He didn't take as bad a beating as Lacy but it was still a comprehensive schooling. It'll be interesting to see how he comes back.

            I picked the second option.
Kelly isnt the kind of guy to surrender in the face of adversity, not from what I have seen of him. He is probably still the best fighter at 160 in the world, and I believe he will come back and prove that.
Remember I said that. You can either praise me or make me eat my words in the future.

He hasn't even fought after the Hopkins fight yet, give the man a break.
