I honestly don't know what's kept the man going for the last 5 years.

I remember watching him fight Steve Frank as an 11 year old in Philadelphia and thinking that this guy was something amazing. Granted I had only been following boxing for about 2 years at the time, and most of my prior experience was based on old, static-ridden VHS tapes, and the "Rocky" franchise.

Even I couldn't have predicted what he would go on to do 12 years later, and the kind of record, and legacy he would have accomplished.

I've got nothing but respect for the man. And I take a great deal of pride in knowing that he grew up less than 5 miles away from where I grew up.
Same thing happened to me when I saw him fight Bo James. I had a VHS tape I must of watched 10x. I was blown away by the Hopkins right hand and thought" I gotta fight like that" This guy is a machine.

He seemed cool tho. I wasn't expecting to really get to talk to him in a party atmosphere.
Cool. I've heard nice things about him outside the ring.

I think so too, I mean... how the hell would Taylor beat the Hopkins who fought Pavlik recently? Hopkins didn't need a round rest at all.
