    Morales-Espadas I

Let's hear what people have to say about this fight. I've heard a lot of people think the decision went the wrong way, although I've also heard that Espadas's corner said that he needed a KO in the 12th...

What was the reaction that you all gave to this fight after seeing it?

It was a close fight, Morales made the mistake of trying to outbox the better boxer, that rarely works out well, Espadas put in a really good performance though.

I was at that fight, I thought Espadas fought a great fight and Morales still wasn't 100% since his epic first fight with Barrera. I still think Morales deserved the decision, it was close though.

BTW Duran was there and he also had Morales winning the fight.

Atleast he gave him a rematch. Like Barrera did to Rocky.

              For sure...

I always love that in a boxer. The guy who gets a close, questionable decision, and still doesn't like the result, because they know they can do better to make themselves look better when those two fighters are remembered in the future.

I thought Espadas got robbed, and I hate throwing that word around, but I was shocked when they gave it to him. But hey, Morales won pretty decisively in the rematch, so that is very, very respectable. Morales is a legend, and Guty is still a very good fighter.

One of those... Johnson-Tarver I decisions? I didn't think that was really a robbery, but I was extremely surprised when they gave it to Johnson. I thought Tarver controlled both of those fights pretty handily.

                    I just watched it.

I have no idea what all the fuss was about. Neither fighter did a lot in very many rounds, a ton of the rounds were close, Morales is the harder puncher and was landing at nearly the same amount of punches in a lot of the close rounds (which tipped them to Morales more often than not)...

I really thought this was going to be like watching Mayweather-Castillo I, where the majority of people thought it went the wrong way, but a few people thought it was the right call.

But, really... I can't imagine why people try to throw this fight in the face of overzealous Morales fans... I mean, really, Morales-Barrera I was a much, much more questionable decision in my mind.
