    Alfredo Angulo
    James Kirkland
    Vanes Martirosyan
    Julio Caesar Chavez Jr.
    John Duddy
    Mean Joe Greene
    Yuri Foreman
up against the elite kirkland should go first! ha ha...he showed no poise against his tko win over cortez. he's more seasoned and has fought the better comp.
i'm not sold on angulo yet. he looks outstanding against opponents who stand in front of him. needs much defensive work.

vanes imo is the one to watch.
i know he's fought the weakest comp compared to kirk and angulo.
but he improves every fight. he stays cool as a cucumber. poised and kool as cotto. he finally fought someone that knew how to move in charley howe who's gone 10 with john duddy. the way he cut off the ring. and those bazookas he fired at howe. very accurate. too bad it didnt go longer.
and he listens to his corner. he strikes me as a more inteligent boxer than angulo and kirkland.
but he has to step it up. Please Now!

it would be a crime for the above three to fight each other yet! want to see those three get a shot at an elite first!

i'm offended joke cesar chavez jr. is in your lineup.

I feel Angulo is somewhat ahead of the curve and has fought better competition out of the listed.

lets hope that will not be his quick downfall...

ya Angulo seems solid... but I hope he isn't rushed into bein a Vargas

        there is protected... Chavez Jr.
there is seasoning a prospect... Vanes M
and there is goin head-first into deep waters... Angulo potentially

That is definitely a concern. He may be rushed up against top competition too early. He's got a solid amateur background and has sparred with the best.
Hopefully he doesn't end up like Vargas.

im glad one guy understands my point...

lets say very early next year, Angulo gets that title, at like 16-0... then what?? how long can he realistically defend it against top guys??

and what happens when a Very Ready Vanes type guy comes to challenge for the title having just about 10 more pro fights under his belt and half the damage Angulo has already seen...

do i make much sense?? i guess ive grown to understand full well on how and why Top Rank moves prospects along the way they do... although I still believe Chavez jr is a bit TOO slow.

Of these guys I would say

                1. Angulo
                2. Vanes
                3. JJC JR
                4. Kirkland

But Martinez is the real next big thing and would whip them all no doubt!

I would LOVE to see Vanes and JJC JR fight and Angulo and Kirkland fight, and have the winners fight each other!

We would end up with Vanes vs Angulo and what a fight that would be.

154 is the division I know the least about. Seems kind of weak.

Williams needs to figure out which division he wants to fight in before he worries about any of these guys.

His physique is so weird, I guess they are all confused on where he belongs...

Wonder if Vernon is going to get goaded into a fight with Martinez.

I like these prospects. Angulo and Vanes are heads up better than the rest.

Just hope they move up their comp because there's not much at the top.

Problem is most of the top 10 is pretty unknown overall but that's ok, they can earn their stripes and get there quick.

This rushing not rushing stuff.. Well once in a while, you gotta hurry.
                      Leon Spinks did, others did....

It would be a nice thing to see for a change instead of all these tune ups and step ups.
