Both Angulo and Kirkland need to work on their defense. Although I feel Angulo is the more polished of the two.

it is definitely the most promising division for 2009 isn't it???

what other division comes close to havin 7 Undefeated prospects where all 7 can possibly become World Champion by end of 2009...

Perhaps age 23 Zaurbek Baysangurov. He already has a dominant decision win over Rubio, Pavlik's mandatory.

Talking about next year, I say Alfredo Angulo. I see him stepping up and becoming a really major player at 154 next year.
I believe Vanes Martirosyan has what it takes to be a key player, but I dont see him stepping all the way up next year. Maybe in the second half of next year, but not really soon.
As exciting as Kirkland is to watch, and as much as we all love killers like him, I cant see him getting that far. He seems to have bad defense and has been dropped by some bums, he also only seems to have one mode of attack.
Also Paul Williams deserves a mention, if he picks up the W against Phillips I think the 154 guys are less likely to avoid him than the WWs.

That kid should get on a plane and start calling people out!
Id love to see other top contender get into this crowded mix.
This is a really great environment for one guy to pull ahead of everyone else and really bring some prestige to the division.

ya Angulo seems solid... but I hope he isn't rushed into bein a Vargas

                      there is protected... Chavez Jr.

there is seasoning a prospect... Vanes M

and there is goin head-first into deep waters... Angulo potentially
