I guess I can see the experience from JR, but Kirk should still be ranked b4 him...JJC has WAAAAAAAAAAAAY more experience, Kirkland is a nice prospect and could very well beat JJC but he has done **** all. So he blew out Eromosele Albert in one round, what has he done besides that? Gotten rocked by Allen Conyers, looked unimpressive against Angulo's leftovers in Ricardo Cortes, got stunned two or three times times against Mohammad Said and got hurt and won a close UD over Ossie Duran. People have Kirkland WAAAAAAAAAAY too high up on their lists.
Wins over Vanda (x2), and KO's over Wiley, Loriga, Celaya and Sanchez are more impressive than anything I have seen from Kirkland. People rate him so highly because it is a knee jerk reaction they get when they see this guy who fights like a beast and comes straight forward.
I would pick Kirkland to beat JJC JR btw, but what has he done to be ranked above him? I love watching Kirkland fight, extremely exciting, and has TONS of power no doubt, but Chavez has more wins, more fights and more star power=higher ranking.Comment

Its funny that Phillips manages to hold a title at 38 years old, being a 10 loss fighter. I dont mean to count him out completely, but I agree several of these young dudes, Angulo, Martirosyan, Kirkland, Greene and probably even a guy like Duddy would have a decent shot of beating him at this point.
Its moot though, seeing as Williams will take that belt from him later this month.
Vernon Forrest
Sergio Martinez
Sergei Dzinziruk
Daniel Santos
And probably Paul Willaims
All holding titles early next year. So its not going to be exactly easy for any of these young characters to pick up a strap, they are gonna have to beat somebody tough to do.Comment

as good as this new school of prospects are... there are some seasoned Champs at 154 who won't give up their belts all that easily.Comment
