The way the author wrote the first sentence is really weird.

When he says that there is little doubt that Calzaghe would entertain a rematch, that means he is leaning towards a rematch.

All of Calzaghe's remarks seem to indicate the same, but...

It does seem strange to me why he would go out of his way to blast Bernard over a bunch of **** that hasn't really been relevant since April if he was not planning on hyping a rematch of the fight, so...

I'm really not sure.

By the way BPP, there actually might be some interest in this fight, because even though the first fight was boring (I actually found it pretty okay, considering it was a Hopkins, low activity type of fight), they both came off of 100% dominating, entertaining performances... that can change peoples' minds in a hurry sometimes.

I also find it silly that "Hopkins is such a joke for faking a low blow!!", but yet no one mentions on how he fought on against Echols with a huge shoulder injury that he could have easily made Echols be DQd by. I'm not sure Calzaghe would do that.

why is that silly? great fighters do not feign injury.roberto duran would never do something like that.the only reason soeone does something like that is because they are looking for a way out,otherwise it wouldnt make any sense

All the talk about Joe being a bum is ******, he's a great fighter who sadly started fighting real competition way too late. That being said his comments are ignorant. If he really thinks Hop is a racist he has no idea about who Bernard is and how he hypes fights. Joe did win the first fight but only by the slimmest margin and he should want to show that he had a bad night and give the rematch. Why not end your career in front of your home fans where you fought most of your career and erase the only question in 46 wins if your so confident. Hop really did make him look foolish and Joe should be ready to prove that was a fluke.

joe doesnt owe anybody anything.if he wants to retire the good luck to hi.he can do so with his head held high.if hopkins actually had some class as a human being and was magnanimous in defeat,then i think joe would give him a rematch.money wise it would be worth more to him than the jones fight.joe doesnt really need the money though,and so after all of bhops crying and whingeing,joes attitude is like,**** you little crybaby beggar,you aint getting a free lunch!

Calzaghe the coward

Calzaghe has no balls. How can he sit there and call B Hop a racist? The man who has befriended and works for a Hispanic promoter, and the same man who also played inspirational angel to a dying boy who admired Hopkins. Did I mention the boy was Caucasian (See article on yahoo). Calzaghe got lucky the first fight, and in my hands didn't do much. It's was a controversial decision that could've gone either way. B Hop in his prime would've killed Calzaghe. As for a rematch, he's dodging Hopkins, cause he knows Hopkins will go for the knockout this time. Man up Calzaghe and respect the legend of Bernard Hopkins!!!
