Can Pavlik beat Lebron in a boxing match? Sure Lebron is an NBA player and Pavlik is a pro boxer so it sounds ****** at first, but think about it. Lebron is a barrel chested and freakishly athletic dude. He doesn't have the lanky and lean build that most basketball players have. If he were to learn some boxing fundamentals I think he could be a tough matchup for anyone. He's a prime athletic specimen. He's got speed, power and is insanely agile. What do you think?

    Wow, what a great question!

Someone who can put a ball in a hoop is basically a godlike entity so I think Lebron would KO Pavlik!! Round 1, Lebron!

They cant touch me, honest to god i get hurt more with punches from welterweights then most of these heavyweights. And everyone wears 16oz gloves when we spar. Lebron would DIE. Anyone who says lebron would win has never boxed. When you get in a boxing ring with an experianced pro like kelly pavlik who has foguht bhop at 170 and taken the beating, lebron would ****ing die I cant believe any of you say hed even hurt pavlik. There is so much involded in boxing that you need years and years to master. A small experianced boxer(who is actually good) will always handle a monster sized non experianced boxer. This thread should close now.

thank you very much, for some common sense..

in regarsd to this matchup, i recall a youtube clip, where gatti fought a huge guy, it was programme, cant remember the name, where an average joe got the chance to challenge a pro.. and gatti toyed with him..

i saw that show, gatti dropped that guy, i was laughing my ass off. the dude was big and strong, but i never saw him land even 1 clean punch on old shot gatti. kelly pavlik would wipe up the ring with lebron james

lebron is a great athlete, but dude hes a ****ing basketball player, thats a non contact ****ing sport you moron, hes not a boxer

pavlik is a prime middleweight champ, he would kill lebron in a boxing match, you idiot

honestly the level of ******ity on this forum just gets worse every day

              Wow

Do you guys have any idea how fast and strong and big lebron james is? The dude is built like a tank and he'd tower over Kelly Pavlik by almost a whole head. Not to mention the difference in reach.

We're not talking about the fat, average heavyweight that boxes at your gym. We're talking about a world class Olympian athlete that competes on a professional level as well, so fitness and stamina aren't exactly things that are being questioned here.

Granted that Pavlik is a professional, champion boxer, can't you guys see that Lebrons sheer athletic ability would pose at least a problem for Pavlik? He might not have boxing experience but he's not some uncoordinated buffoon. I'm sure if he had some boxing training he'd still give Pavlik a hard time.

This may be blasphemous, but if Valuev can be champion and defeat far superior boxers due to his enormous size, why couldn't a athletic and physical freak like LeBron (with a couple of months boxing training) beat middleweights? 250 - 160 is a huge difference.

BTW, I just heard Jon Barry on the radio a couple of days ago and he said that ESPN asked LeBron to step on a scale and he was actually 270 pounds now with 5% body fat! Just ridiculous if true.
                your a ****wit!!!!

what far superior boxers has valuev beat?? most of the dudes he fights are as **** as him

and plus valuev is a pro and trains as a full time occupation, hes not some ass with 2 months training

honestly, some people are so dumb

when bigger guys come into the gym, trained amateurs who are like half their size just freakin toy with them...like that guy said about old shot gatti who was never even a terribly skilled fighter toying with thnat big dude

this question is beyond ******, and i question the mental health of the 17 guys who voted for lebron

dude, if you're saying athleticism plays no part in fighting then you're the ****ing moron. I'm not saying by any means that lebron would be a great boxer. I'm simply implying that Lebron is a super athletic dude with natural gifts, and that if he were to box he'd be a tough matchup. Especially for a dude that weighs almost a 100 pounds less than him. Athleticism is a huge factor in any fight, including boxing.

just stop typing dude, your an absoloute fool

you think boxing is some sort of ****ing free for all try your luck game?

people like pavlik sleep, breathe, and live boxing....you dont get to world level by sitting on your ass all day

lebron is an awesome athlete, but boxing is a skilled discipline by nature, not just like basketball where its all about athleticism...

                    honestly you are so ******...

okay jackass if athleticism is the be all and end all why didnt taylor beat pavlik
                      ???

taylor was much more ripped, way more athletic naturally and in his style, but pavlik beat him twice....

im not saying athleticism isnt relevant but skill means a hell of a lot more

honestly, i doubt you have ever set foot in a gym, you probably never will, and know nothing about boxing, or anything for that matter, except maybe a bit about asking idiotic questions
