I dunno if youve seen that video of a shot Gatti kickin the **** out of the 200 lb man on pros vs joes, but you should try to find it. and the funny part was that the actual 'challenge' was to land 10 punches against Gatti. yea, who would have thought that would be a challenge having watched him in boxing? but it actually took the guys quite a while, and that other guy actually got knocked out badly trying to only just land 10 punches against him...

no, Lebron James aint your average 200+lb guy. but Kelly Pavlik is no shot, overweight Arturo Gatti either.

    (Gatti vs. Heavyweight video)

some people really underestimate how much skill there is in boxing.

Are you facking ****ting me? You're comparing that dude in the video to Lebron James? Do you know who Lebron James is? First off hes Faster, Stronger, and 100 pounds bigger than Pavlik. Second of all he's an Olympic level athlete in his own right and is most importantly, very very coordinated as well. Yeah boxing might not have anything to do with basketball, but I guarantee you Lebron would know how to hold his own.

thats like saying ****in pavlik can dribble better than lebron, he'd be out of his element...

im sure lebron could take an average dude on the streets, but a world class boxer under boxing rules? or any rules?? no way man

This may be blasphemous, but if Valuev can be champion and defeat far superior boxers due to his enormous size, why couldn't a athletic and physical freak like LeBron (with a couple of months boxing training) beat middleweights? 250 - 160 is a huge difference.

BTW, I just heard Jon Barry on the radio a couple of days ago and he said that ESPN asked LeBron to step on a scale and he was actually 270 pounds now with 5% body fat! Just ridiculous if true.
        that is

like blackirish said, those brawlers are only unskilled and easy to hit at elite level, for a dude that has never boxed, theyre near untouchable

              You guys serious?!
You naive little ****s don't realize the kind of preperation a World Champion goes through.
              L. James gases out in 2 rounds, that's a guarantee.
I hope this is a joke.

i just saw the videos of arturo gatti on pros vs joes. The dudes he's fighting are so overweight and unathletic. They're not even remotely athletically inclined for a normal person's standards. Even then, its not like they couldn't get any contact against Gatti.

If there was any basketball player that would have some success in boxing it would be Ron Artest. His dad was a golden gloves boxer...

                    carzy ass thread

if you put lebron in a boxing ring with palvik...palvik would win

if lebron and plavik were playing a game of 21....lebron would win 21-0

it two diffrent sport and two different althete's.lebron train to put a ball in a basket...palvik trained to knock people out for a living. you just can't put lebron in the ring and expect him to be the **** cause he strong, fast etc. it skill that comes with it as well....who knows lebron might have a glass chin for all we know

These guys arent 6'8 but they are 250+ and they are not bad athletes. They cant touch me, honest to god i get hurt more with punches from welterweights then most of these heavyweights. And everyone wears 16oz gloves when we spar. Lebron would DIE. Anyone who says lebron would win has never boxed. When you get in a boxing ring with an experianced pro like kelly pavlik who has foguht bhop at 170 and taken the beating, lebron would ****ing die I cant believe any of you say hed even hurt pavlik. There is so much involded in boxing that you need years and years to master. A small experianced boxer(who is actually good) will always handle a monster sized non experianced boxer. This thread should close now.
i said pretty much the exact same thing and some know nothing scrubs insulted me.
