Glen Johnson is only active LHW who beats Calzaghe

Hopkins has a difficult style. It took Calzaghe one knockdown and 4 rounds to figure that out. The next 8 rounds he adapted and he won. Hopkins fought differently and better against Pavlik because Pavlik is not Joe Calzaghe. Hopkins didnt make Calzaghe fight his fight after round 4 because he was unable to do so. If they fought again, it would be the same situation just quicker, because Hopkins would be older and slower. What Hopkins did to Pavlik was incredible, which makes what Calzaghe did to Hopkins more incredible. If they fought again, it would be a more definitive win to Calzaghe. That is all.

Calzaghe won the fight against Hopkins on workrate. Hopkins was clearly more accurate with his output, and with the knockdown included, was an extremely close match to score. If there was a second fight, i, like you, also believe the winner would be more definitive, but who the winner would be, i am not so sure.

If you read my post again, i said Hopkins was the only man capable of beating Joe, i didn't say he WOULD beat Joe. I just don't see anybody else out there worthy of a shot. Joe does not need anyone, but if he wanted 1 more fight, Hopkins is the only man worthy......with a chance.

Glen Johnson would put up a good fight i dont see Calzaghe dominating him, and Johnson would force Calzaghe to backup which would cause him trouble but i think Joe's work rate would win him a UD but would love to see the fight though.

yeah Johnson still has very good stamina, but the problem is he is starting to lose some of his speed back in 04 he would have a good chance against Joe but i would still think Joe would win but it would be much closer.

Johnson had a different style back then, he was not a pressure fighter in those days. I doubt there is anyone out there at the moment that would dominated Johnson.
