Glen Johnson is only active LHW who beats Calzaghe

Chad Dawson can't do it, I see the same type of outcome in a Calzaghe vs. Dawson fight as was the outcome in Calzaghe vs. Lacy. Im not sayin Glen Johnson beats Calzaghe hands down, but if anyone in that division can do it at this stage in their career it's Johnson. It's going to take more then a flurry of maybe hard punches, maybe not so hard slaps to make Johnson cover up in a defensive shell for 12 rounds. It's now twice that we have seen Calzaghe go down in the 1st round against guys who do not throw many punches, Johnson keeps coming at you and will put 10 times more pressure on Calzghe if he was to put him down then was the case with either Hopkins or Jones. I think Johnson is a "hard nosed, get those pitty patt shots the **** out of here, ive come to fight not dance" type of fighter that would really test Calzaghe. Lets not forget he beat Dawson, **** what the judges said. This is just my opinion, so if yours differs from mine state it, no need to talk ****.

What have you seen in dawson that makes you hold him to such high regards? Serious question.

Johnson has no chance. Rough tough big punching aggressive guys like Johnson are perfect for Joe. Glenn is good, but he doesn't have the skill required, nor the speed to hit Joe enough. Easy UD for Calzaghe.

Thats whats wrong with boxing, people want to see a name vs a name instead of a fighting style vs. a fighting style. Then complain when the fights are one sided and noncompetitive.

Good post, and I agree with it. The highlighted part is the reason why a Calzaghe-Dawson fight is pointless, and the reason why Calzaghe would do Dawson the same as he did Lacy IMO.
