This Dawson is more proven than Kessler rubbish

Being honest i dont see that Dawson is more proven than Kessler. Kessler went to Australia to beat Mundene he also beat Beyer and schooled Andrade not forgetting he went to Wales and fought infront of 55,000 he has also had 40 fights.

Dawson has has 27 fights never left the States and hold wins over Tarver and a disputed one over Johnson who lost clearly to Clinton Woods.

Dont see it, Kessler is more "proven" he has also won more titles.

Add to the list that Kessler was a late replacement when he won the title against Siaca by KO. Furter add that he KO'ed former titleholder Eric Lucas.

Compare that to Dawson's string of journeymen and a disputed win over Johnson who was outpointed by Ottke.

Kessler is way more tested. Johnson is a gatekeeper who lost to the likes of Clinton Woods, Sven Ottke and Omar Shieka and Tarver lost every round to Hopkins. They both gave Dawson hard fight esp Johnson who really lost to every big name fighter he every fought, Jones aside.

I'd call em equal. Kessler has won a couple belts and so has Dawson. If anything, Chad hasn't lost yet (officially) and Kessler has, which gives Chad the edge.

I agree. Tarver didn't look like himself and his best days are way past him. No denying that.


But beating Adamek, Johnson, then shutting out Tarver is a helluva ****ing accomplishment.


I think Adamek is better than Kessler.
Obviously I think Hopkins is better than both Johnson and Tarver.
But I think both Johnson and Tarver would beat the Roy Jones that fought last night.

So hand in hand, it equals up pretty fair to Calzaghe's recent victories.
