Beating everybody out there.
NEVER losing once.
Greatest SMW of all time. BAR NONE!
Considering the SMW Division is just 25 years old that is terrific complement. LMFAO Joe is a great fighter period SMW in any division. P4P one of the best out there. Roy held his own bothered by a cut and surely his vision was affected by all the blood that was getting in his lead eye. He still finished the fight when many would have given up. He tried to win even though he was cleary out matched. I have tremendous respect for Joe for getting up off the canvas in a big fight and dominating Roy Jones for 11 rounds. I have tremendous respect for Roy for being able to hang in there even though he was cleary out matched....Lefty
Roy definitely deserves credit. He showed the heart of a warrior, absorbed a merciless beating, could have rightfully quit any time after getting cut. After the fight he was a true sportsman in defeat.
That said, if I was Jones I wouldn't want want to have anything to do with Calzaghe now! After such a respectful buildup from Joe the incessant taunting of an alarmingly faded modern legend was a bit distasteful. Roy is a proud man and will probably look back on Saturday night with less fond memories than Tarver 2 or the Johnson fight!
Calzaghe was amazing for the last eleven rounds of the fight. Incredible speed, skills, chin, stamina and workrate for a 37 year old!
