    No, it wasn't.

To watch two former great boxers in their late thirties fight each other was not great.

Not after all they both have achieved.

Also, I know Jones got respect from Joe outside the ring, but I never like to see showboating when an emphatic victory is being attained.

It is just a shame that him and Joe Calzaghe did not meet years ago when they were not both in their late thirties.

              But well done Joe.
              i agree.

Not to take anything away from calzaghe's win but too many people act as if he beat a prime roy jones jr and some others act as if roy isnt an all time great.

If roy isnt an all time great fighter then i dont know who is.

he's one of the VERY BEST (if not arguably THEE best) of his generation.

Gotdamn Roy punched like a mule kick. I don't see why folks knock his punch output for his bouts when he could easily put you on your ass in one blow. No 100 punches a round necessary.

                  Re-read the post.

I said it was not great to watch; I did not make comment on Calzaghe's greatness.

Calzaghe is 37 and slightly past his best.

He would never destroy a prime, World Champion Jeff Lacy in his current state.

Where has all this nonsensical USA/UK hatred come from? I have American relatives and I sometimes jokingly take the piss out of them for being Yanks, but I love America and its people.

Americans are the most friendly and most magnanimous people on Earth so why are my fellow countrymen having a go at you? I feel ashamed and I can only apologise.

Anyway, we have fought alongside each other in countless wars for f***'s sake!
I think you will find that the most friendly and most magnanimous people on Earth are Scottish. Just my opinion
