Mayweather hasn't cleaned out a single division he's been in. Calzaghe has.

Good point ........haters will ONLY look for the names on a fighters resume.....while REAL boxing heads will look at how he gets the job done first......then who he does it against second.......Joe does alot of things better than my favorite boxer, who happens to be a future HOF and definitely will be recognized as an ATG when he's done(B-Hop) plus Joe holds a W over him in a head-to-head. Minus the boxing politics......Joe Calzaghe should be considered an ATG by anybody who knows anything about boxing..........Max even acknowledged that Joe and Lennox are bein' debated about as Europe's best ever......so how can Europe's best EVER not be considered an ATG?

Not only is Joe probably the best British boxer ever, he's one of the most talented fighters ever to lace on a pair of gloves!

I've seen a lot more from the Calzaghe haters since the win over Jones. The usual suspects, racists like Burner and daggum who can't deal with the fact that a white guy from the UK can be a great boxer, have been making the expected threads and posts bashing and discrediting Joe.

But they can say what they want - they can't change the fact that Joe is an all time great!

You can't change the fact that Calzaghe's best opponents were senior citizens.

Props to Joe Slaps on the win last night. He's probably the most painful fighter to watch with his horrendous style, but it's hard to knock him because he gets it done.

I don't think he's an ATG because he wasn't lucky enough to be able to ply his trade at 160 instead of 168.

It's the fights that make ATG and Calzaghe hasn't been in against enough fighters that would be clawing at the door themselves.

It's not great dishonoUr, there are maybe 2-4 fighters per generation lucky enough to make it to ATG status and generally they are matched in pairs in the strongest division of that era.

SMW isn't the strongest division in his generation in fatc it's not in the top 5 divisions imho.
