Calzaghe couldnt get big fights when Jones was in his prime thats a fact, i dont buy the ''he's dodged the big fights'' because he hasnt, he probably wasnt famous enough to fight Jones or Bhop years ago.

So what could Joe do in the future to earn your respect?
    Fight and beat Chad Dawson.

He does that, I'll never critique Calzaghe again.

When Calzaghe beats Dawson everyone will say that Calzaghe slapped his way to the win, that Dawson isn't experienced enough, that Calzaghe needs Wales to beat Dawson and all sort of ****, that Dawson is overated etc.

Calzaghe doesn't need this, Dawson doesn't need this.
      No one does.

atleast 2 more fights: Dawson and the Bhop rematch...

if Joe really really really wanted to impress... he'd go for the 50 wins undefeated record!!!

there were two times that Joe buckled last nite:

              the first round against roy

and the post fight interview when Kellerman uttered the words 'chad dawson'

i highly doubt that he wants ANY piece of someone in their prime, let alone a hungry bad-ass so the only thing to earn my respect is for him to retire

Only thing he could do is get an american passport to get respect in america.

Idiots talked up Pavlik cause he was one fo their own when it was obvious he was a 1 trick plodder. Calzaghe will never get respect.

Joe just got back from 2000,

                  Roy wasn't interested.

                  Neither was Hopkins.

You know what?! I think that most real american boxing fans respect joe as a great figter just not an all-time great. To me I see a lot of people who are just upset that he is making a name for himself by beating guys that are way past there prime and that are much higher than he on the ATG list. I hate to see Joe's people make a case for him being better all-time than Roy or Bernard. and let's be clear..Joe didnt want any parts of that ass-whipping 5 years ago. And it is not like he could not have come over to make that fight. 5 years ago he was screaming that he is a champion and why should he have to come to america which sounds foolish to even speak of given all that we know about hierarchy and drawing power of making big fights.

But still..Joe is a great fighter. I thought that Roy was actually a little faster that him in the fight which gives you some idea of what a fight with them would have been like in 2000, but roy just look too timid to put together combos and looked like his power was all gone. I am actually upset with Roy for taking the fight becaseu he had to know that with the way he fought that he couldnt win. Which I can only conclude from that, that the whole fight was about the money.
