At heavyweight or in all divisions?

I say he could still make the top 20 greatest heavyweights list but I can't see him ever being ranked up there among the all time greats (Robinson, Ali, Greb, Pep, Armstrong).

Unfortunately the best opponent for him would be his brother Vitali, a fight that won't ever happen.

Thompson is very durable. He had never been down before, in 32 fights.

Based on the weakness of the HW division right now, I doubt Wlad or anyone else who holds a title at HW in this era will go down as an ATG.

he knocked out a smart fighter by being a smart boxer, and you take away from the fact that he knocked him out by saying it should have been earlier in the fight?

just think about how many great performances you are degrading with that statement.

to me, the heavyweight champion of the world is the baddest man alive. tyson, frazier, foreman, ali etc etc. were all considered among the most fearsome if not the most fearsome men ever. for wlad to mentioned among those names is ridiculous. tony thompson is a tough customer no doubt, but wlad couldve shouldve but didnt destroy him instead wore him down as the fight went on. thats something a boxer with little to no pop does, but wlad is arguably the hardest hitter in the HW division why didnt he show it? cuz hes weak and everyone knows it and doesnt want to be embarassed again. f uck his overy cautious style.

cause hes smart and by the book, some people hate him, but the fact is right now he is pretty much a near perfect boxer. he ends fights brutally with ko's without taking risks. also if you watch any of wlads fights, if the opponent is aggressive, they get ko'd faster, but if they are timid, wlad will methodically break them down and put them to sleep.

he shows he is the heaviest hitter in the division, thats why people are getting knocked out almost every match

you can make an argument about his chin, but if his chin is so weak, isnt what he is doing now much more effective? he is ending fights in ko's and looking godlike doing it, he is making his opposition look like trash and completely embarrassing them.

you can hate on his style if you want, but here are the facts: he knocks people the **** out, delivers a beating, doesn't take punishment, and doesn't take unnecessary risks. hes much more exciting than floyd mayweather EVER was. the only truly trash fight wlad was in was sultan ibragimov.

                why is wlad not p4p

ATG fighters do a combination of things:

                  1. Impact/Influence society outside of boxing
                  2. Create legendary fights with legendary boxers
                  3. Reign as champion for a number of years, take all titles
                  4. Leave no questions

If you can agree to this than we can apply it to Wlad:

                  1. NO
                  2. NO
                  3. Not Yet
                  4. Probably Never because of Sanders and Purrity

                      1. just because the klitschkos dont make a huge impact here in america, doesnt mean they dont overseas.
                      2. cant say wlad has been in anything legendary yet, he hasnt had the opportunity
                      3. not yet
                      4. i dont think there is any doubt in anyones mind that wlad would handle both of those guys handily by now. he fought dumb against sanders, and puritty, he just tanked, it didnt even have much to do with purrity, watch the ko, wlad doesnt even get hit really, he just like falls down. wlad would have fought them again if they would have met up again later down the road, but sanders pretty much faded into oblivion and purritty lost too many fights to make it to the top.

i hope within the next 2 years or so, a fantastic heavyweight emerges and manages to avoid klitschko for a while, and then they clash!
