i like this kind of stuff leading up to a fight. the americans "have always been ignorant" part is a bold, blanket statement that is obviously not true. i'll admit that it irks me a little bit. i have a feeling that's exactly what he's trying to do, though.

there is some truth to what he's saying. i think there's plenty of european boxers who don't their due credit. we have A LOT of trash talking, ****y fighters on our side of the pond. nothing with that, and there's nothing wrong with calzaghe mouthing off a bit. so i don't really have a problem with what he said, because trash talk goes both ways. if i was in calzaghe's position i'd be ****y as hell to.

Unlike Hopkins and Mayweather, I have yet to see Joe take anything back after a fight. Comments like this make it harder to like him.
