Mayweather is pound for pound the best in boxing.
Cunningham is the man at cruiser.
Dawson & Hopkins are running light-heavy.
Taylor will dominate super-middle.
Pavlik is unified champion at 160.
Paul Williams can fight from 147 to 168 and he is the man at 1476 after whooping Margarita.
De La Hoya and Winky are the best 154 fighters.
Mosley and Berto at 147.
Paulie and Tim Bradley at 140. Bradley spanked Witter in Germany and Paulie will retire Fatton.
Steve L at feather - he knocked out that British bum Cook.
The list goes on.
Hang on a minute, the Brits have ONE world champion and his name is Cook.
Hatton ain't world champion. Slapzaghe isn't. Haye isn't.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Hes right boxing in America isnt what it once was. How many weight classes can you truly say that an American is the best in. Middleweight? Cant think of any others.

and yea, we do have Pavlik, who at least is a top guy at 160. and we have Hopkins, and Bradley, and Forrest, and Cunningham, and Dawson, and Williams, and Malignaggi, and Tarver, and De La Hoya...etc.
I know a lot of those guys are oldies, but we have some nice prospects too.
besides, its not like America always dominated. in fact, a lot of the time in boxing history, hispanics dominated boxing.
theres never been one country/area that has dominated in boxing, and honestly the only weigh class that has changed drastically is the HW division.
what does PR have to do between u and what dirk is saying?
im lost... not that i want to start no ****.. im just wondering.. why did you mention PR.. as far as I know.. the puertorican boxers are grouped as Latino or hispanic..... examples, the americans, the erupeans, asians, hispanic or latino etc..
what i meant to say.. is .... THIS IS BETWEEN US AND UK... LEAVE US ALONE... j/k

AMATUER boxing is what is WRONG with BOXING. AMATUER boxing is a disgrace to the sport and has little relevance to PRO fighting.
I understand Calzaghe's remarks that there is some ignorance on the American side, which I agree....but he is a ****ing arrogant little **** that protected his ass at 168. He needs to be KFTO and by Roy Jones Jr. Why? because being knocked out by a SHOT Roy Jones Jr. is embarrassing.
It's one thing to make the remarks and have it presentable in stoic way, but Joe, he's an arrogant ****.
Joe forgets he barely beat a 43 year old, past prime, former Middleweight in Bernard Hopkins.
And, if you look at how many TITLES are held by AMERICANS, it's still a lot.
NO, we don't have any notable Heavyweights, but that doesn't say much considering the HW division SUCKS. And we know where our athletes went....FOOTBALL. There is more opportunity there than in boxing. It's all setup for greater success than boxing.
Let me make this Clear, JOE is a disgrace to himself, not the Europeans. He is the arrogant one...not the rest. He represents himself.
The reason why we still have Champions under HW is because they are too small to play in the NFL.
And that goes for the Americans too who want to follow this nonsense.Last edited by Benny Leonard; 11-05-2008, 10:37 AM.
